The democratic socialist nation of Venezuela’s collapse is showing just how far people will go in order to escape the horrors of big government. In fact, the situation in Venezuela has gotten so bad that women are willing to risk being sexually abused in human trafficking rings in order to escape the horrors of socialism.
Socialist Venezuela’s inflation rate is on track to hit a whopping one million percent. As if the government there hasn’t already destroyed a once thriving economy with their force and coercion flinging the population into poverty, the continual rise in inflation will only mean people will have to live in even worse conditions; if that’s possible.
Several hundred opposition demonstrators protesting socialist Nicolas Maduro’s “reelection” blocked traffic in a march to the Organization of American States (OAS) headquarters in Caracas on Wednesday ahead of the “vote.” Those who object to the horrific violence and poverty socialism has propelled Venezuela deep into say this weekend’s presidential vote was rigged.
Venezuela should be a lesson to Americans why the concept of tyrannical control (dubbed socialism or communism) should be avoided at all costs. But as many here clamor for more government control over their lives and healthcare decisions, Venezuelans who live under that control, are assaulted by the police outside the socialist health ministry.
